It's such a small world. It really is.
I had no idea who lived there, but an old friend (Chris Posey) lived on the same street a few years ago, so I thought there was a chance the owners might know him.
Turns out the house was directly across the street from Posey's old house.
But that's not why I'm saying it's such a small world...
When I rang the doorbell and the owner came to the door, it was then that I realized I knew her. Not all that well...we'd met a few times several years ago...but we had a ton of mutual friends.
We joked about how times have changed and how we'd all "grown up" and gotten married and started families.
And about that time, her nanny walked around the corner holding one of the cutest little baby boys I've seen in a long, long time.
His name was Davis, and he had one heck of a smile.
Anyway, I finally got around to photographing her home, as that's why I was there in the first place.
I wrapped-up after an hour or so and before I left, I just had to snap a few pics of little Davis. I didn't have my standard portrait lens in my bag, so I had to make use of my 35mm f/1.4. I think it worked out just fine!
Here are a few of my favorite shots:
Man, I love days like last Thursday.
It's just a really good feeling when you run into someone you haven't seen in ages and you find that life is treating them well.
The icing on the cake is getting to take pictures of such a happy, handsome baby boy!
