Yesterday, Hadley and I took the kids to see the Gecko Exhibit at the Fernbank. As a kid, I was fascinated with snakes, lizards, rocks, fossils and bugs, so I was excited for the kids to get a chance to see the exhibit on geckos. We spent 30 minutes or so walking through and looking at all the different kind of geckos. And I must admit, I learned quite a bit and had no idea there were so many different types of them. Hunter obviously didn't get much out of the exhibit, but Sloane seemed to enjoy it.
When Sloane had had her fill of lizards, we went out to the main area of Fernbank and had ourselves some LowCountry Barbecue. As things started to wind down a bit, I decided to have a little fun with my camera. The Fernbank has a few amazing dinosaur replicas in the main room, so I decided to get some HDR shots of some "real" lizards. Stay tuned...I'll post the dinosaur pics in subsequent posts as they are completed.
